Why might it take up to 21 working days for my purchase to be dispatched?
Here at Belladonnas Boudoir we do hold a few items in stock at all times.
However, many are hand made many to order, and are not mass produced cheaply in a factory overseas! Especially when fabric is in low stock; to make mass sizes would mean others may lose when their size sells out.
All are designed by myself and made by myself or one of my fabulous assistants, from beginning to end so we ask that you please be patient and if you need something for that special occasion in a hurry please contact us before you make your purchase to check that we can dispatch your item/s in time.
Be happy in the knowledge that you are wearing a high quality garment which has been beautifully crafted in the UK.
How will my item be shipped and how long will it take?
Postal services differ...so it's very difficult to be precise, but this is a good general guide...and with Royal Mail now changing their whole postal system, they no longer guarantee any delivery timescale. The only was to secure a certain delivery is using the costly Special Delivery or next day courier service. Here is a general guide
UK within 1-2 working days
Europe within 3-4 working days
US & Worldwide within 7-10 working days
Couriers (UK only) have varied services according to cost and we generally use the cheapest possible for you
Economy could be up to 10 days
Regular - 3-5 working days
Next Day - will be the next working day AFTER collection.
These delivery times are for in stock orders only. Any bespoke orders will be within the timescales offered to you at the time of purchase.
IF YOU REQUIRE AN ITEM FOR NEXT DAY THIS MUST BE PLACED BEFORE 10AM AS AFTER THAT WE DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE COMPUTER OR PHONE. IF IT IS PLACED AFTER THAT, THEN IT WILL BE SENT THE FOLLOWING DAY. **BE SURE WE HAVE THIS ITEM IN STOCK FIRST**
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
All parcels sent internationally can be tracked until they leave the UK. Once they are picked up by the overseas postal service they may not be trackable.
If you want extra insurance and tracking then please contact us first as this is often very expensive.
Timescale will vary according to the method of shipping used but is generally within 5-7 working days depending on your country.
If you do NOT want to pay for the insured & trackable shipping and the item goes missing, you will be exempt from any refund whatsoever.. Claiming from the carrier is extremely difficult in these cases and so we cannot offer remuneration to the customer until we have remuneration ourselves. It may be that you will have to claim from your side of the world. Your acceptance of this will be required PRIOR to shipping. This again is to help eliminate theft & fraud which only ruins our fabulous service for other customers
It's been two weeks and my parcel still hasn't arrived, what should I do? (UK)
All parcels are sent recorded or by another trackable method so they will need to be signed for upon delivery.
If you are not at home to sign for it when the parcel is delivered it will be taken back to the depot or your nearest RM sorting office but a card should be left by the company.
We cannot be held responsible for parcels that go missing in the post but will do everything possible to try and track the parcel for you.
As we may have to make a claim to the postal service for any missing item for the cost of the item, we can refund this to you ONCE we have received remuneration from that service and it is important that you comply with any communication necessary to event this claim. This helps prevent theft & fraud.
If something is the wrong size or I just don't like it, may I return it for an exchange or refund? (please also see the T&C page)
Customer service is highly prized and we are happy to exchange or refund any garments purchased except custom made/bespoke & those exempt from returns.
However, exchanges will incur extra postal charges and unless there is a serious fault with the item your postal expenses will not be refunded. As all our garments are quality checked prior to leaving the studio, it is unlikely there will be any serious fault (see T&C page)
You must contact us first if you wish to return or exchange an item and you will be given a returns number which you must include in the returning parcel.
All garments must be returned within 14 days, unworn with tags still attached or they will be sent back and the refund or exchange refused.
Refunds will be issued within 28 days of the return of the garment/s.
There may also be restocking fees deducted from any refunds.
ALL REGULATIONS PERTAINING TO RETURNS ARE ON THE T&C PAGES.
Why does my bespoke garment not look exactly like the picture?
This could be due to varied reasons:
Camera angles, your monitor pixels, or the fact that it may be a highly customised item.
This means that there may be slight differences in colour, style, details, buttons, lace etc.
Unless specifically stated, ALL our items are created from scratch and not simply bought in and customized, though in this throw away world, I often see vintage and second-hand items just dying to be customized and re-owned.
Sometimes there may be a slight difference in the style of lace, the type of button or even how the model wore it, but as each one is handcrafted individually, it is important to understand that there could be some slight difference to that shown. In no way do we intend to deceive or delude you so any difference will not detract from the garment whatsoever.
There may also be the need to pin the item to fit the model; this will be done ONLY to show you the proper fit of the item and not to deceive the purchaser in any way. Due to body types, the item may look different on you than on the model we have used.
How should I measure myself for made to order items?
Please look at the page SIZING CHARTS where you will see all you need to know.
Again it is vital that you measure correctly as there is absolutely no refund/returns or exchanges on custom made/bespoke items but we will give you a list of the measurement we need particular to your item.
Please also be aware that even though we do not measure you personally, you take full responsibility for taking correct measurements and passing them on to us. This system still applies as a bespoke service with the relevant no return/refund policies.
